ABOUT ME
I have 6 years of experience in various creative industries: Home Décor, Print Production and most recently, CPG packaging design for the beauty industry. While I was in college, I also worked various production positions. I operated industrial laser cutters for four years, and even operated large format printers and CAD-based cutters.
My experience in production gives me the insight to understand what can and can’t actually be produced and how to reduce costs in the printing process while in the designing stage. It’s given me a more realistic approach to concepting new products, considering the real-life limitations of different printing processes and their costs.
While I also have experience with web design and UI/UX with Adobe XD and Figma, designing for packaged goods is the most rewarding for me personally. I love all of the detail involved in packaging for consumer goods. Everything from how the product will look on the shelf to the perforations on the box and how items fit within a vac tray are all designed very intentionally and with the experience of the consumer in mind. Especially with the rise of unpackaging videos, people understand the excitement of opening a product they enjoy, and I like being able to take part in that process in people’s lives.
